Jon Watts is a Star Wars guru

We’ve gone back and forth with who should or shouldn’t be directing Star Wars material. We’ve seen rumors of Christopher Nolan directing a film. Taika Waititi is confirmed as a director of an upcoming Star Wars project.
With that said, another impressive director by the name of Jon Watts is said to direct the next installment of the Skywalker trilogy. Simon Kinberg has been working on a Star Wars trilogy since 2024. Watts would work on the first section of the trilogy. This Star Wars film is known as Episode X.
It’s also believed that Rey will be in Episode X, too.
This shouldn’t come as a surprise that Jon is working on a Star Wars film. After all, he worked on Skeleton Crew. The show had a Rotten Tomatoes score of 92%. Yes, you read that correctly.
This wouldn’t be the first massive project he worked on. He had his hands on Spider-Man. I have to admit that I haven’t been a big fan of the Spider-Man films where Tom Holland is the featured actor. Watts has also worked on “X-Men”. I have to say that Michael Fassbender (actor in X-Men) is my favorite actor, too.
Let it be known that Watts left the Spider-Man world due to burnout and a need to pursue other projects. He is 45 years old, so it’s the perfect time to branch out.
As noted by Gizmodo, Disney has struggled with Star Wars films as of late. So, it’s far from certain that this project will occur. We can sit back and enjoy series on Disney Plus in the mean-time. Andor is the show that has to come to mind.
