Happy Birthday, Mark Hamill

Mark Hamill is an old cookie. He turned 75 yesterday. He is the same age as my grandfather. Except, he can yield a lightsaber and use the force. Sadly, my grandpa can do neither of those things. We should remember a few days ago that Hamill looked at his own statue at the George Lucas museum. With that said, I’m going to reflect on Hamill and untwine some fascinating facts about him.
Hamill is an left-handed actor. It’s not overly rare to be left-handed. It is rare to be left handed and right handed.
His wife is a dentist. They both met in a dentist office in the mid 1970s. They have stayed together since. They married in Malibu, California. They both had California Love. The duo have three children together, as well. There is Nathan, Griffin, and Chelsea.
We have a taste of Mark off the big screen. The question is: What is his biggest moment on the screen? I’d have to say his hand getting chopped off at the end of Empire Strikes Back. Of course, Lord Vader tells Luke that he is his father, as well.
Another prominent moments is when Luke is being shocked by Darth Sidious and he begs his father to intervene and save his life. Vader then kills his mentor to save his son.
One of the most electric scenes with Luke in the franchise has to be when Rey finds him and gives him a lightsaber. We barely see him in the film, but that one moment was special.
With Hamill being a year older, the question begs to ask: will we see more of Hamill in the future? It’s unclear if he will return for Star Wars, but he should be featured in “Twist Metal” for season three.
