Lucas wanted to make 3 more Star Wars movies

George Lucas is arguably the greatest movie director of all time. We all witnessed his picture with the other elite film directors in front of the Lucas museum. We also saw the likes of Mark Hamill and Samuel L. Jackson, who were featured in Star Wars movies.
With that said, Lucas opened up to his viewers with a fascinating statement. He said that he wanted to make three more movies. As reported by Gizmodo, he said, “well, I’m 82, so there is a limit to .. when I did this, I decided to retire from making movies, which was a big deal because I had three more Star Wars movies to make.” But I realized `that I was running out of time, and I did want to make this museum, and I’d spent a lot of time developing digital for the movie business. “
With that said, let’s not get caught up in the Star Wars world in the museum. Less than 10% of material is Star Wars material. Yes, you read that correctly. Nonetheless, the limited Star Wars sculptures, pictures, etc. are worth the price of admission.
So, would it have been better if Lucas made a few extra Star Wars films? Or is the museum more appealing long-term? I believe it is better for George to put his efforts in to this project. Just as Paris has the Eiffel tower, LA has the George Lucas Museum. This museum will be inspiring people, especially the youth, for many decades to come.
I also believe that Star Wars can shine without Lucas. “The Force Awakens,” “Rogue One”, and “Andor” are films or shows that come to mind that didn’t have Lucas orchestrating them.
Lucas is 82 years old, but that doesn’t mean he can’t focus on making a movie now. After all, our President is 80 years old! Bernie Sanders is 86 and he’s still heaviily involved in politics.
