It wasn’t fun playing C-3PO

It wasn’t cool playing C-3PO

Star Wars is a beautiful, diverse franchise. In Star Wars, there is quite the unique character by the name of C-3PO. C-3PO was ahead of his time. He was built by a “young” Anakin Skywalker. It’s fair to compare him to the real life Elon Musk, who built a video game.

C-3PO was played by none other than Anthony Daniels. Fans enjoyed witnessing the robotic voice and casual behavior by the bot. Well, Daniels didn’t enjoy that enthusiasm..

Daniels said, “They put it on me, piece by piece, and gradually, I really kind of felt I was losing my humanity.” He continued, “I was clamped into this. And then they did have a camera turning. And for about 10 minutes or so, I wobbled around this workshop, crashing into things, smashing things. And then they took it off.”

Daniels has been C-3PO through it all. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that he’s 80 years old! He is still younger than Harrison Ford, however. Ford is 83. Sadly, Ford is out of Star Wars, as Han Solo was taken out by his son, Kylo Ren. Ford was likely too old to be in the spin off, “Solo”.

C-3PO is a special figure. He can speak in six million forms of language. Of course, there are is only a bit more than 7k languages. Star Wars is different, as there 3.2 million planets in Star Wars.

C-3PO’s memory was damaged, but his memory was restored by R2D2 at the end of, “The Rise of Skywalker”.

C-3PO has made impressive appearances in shows like “Kenobi” and “Ahsoka”. I wouldn’t close the door on him returning in future projects, as well.
